With twenty years of experience as an educator and public speaker, Shawna has presented about climate change, climate grief, sustainability, and mental health to hundreds of audiences and thousands of people.

Topics Shawna has presented on include:

  • Climate Grief: experiencing grief, building personal resilience and wellbeing, communicating about grief, grieving as a group (family, community), taking action, and more.

  • Personal and Group Wellbeing: how to build resilience in a changing community and environmental climate.

  • Navigating the Difficult Conversations about climate change and climate anxieties: communicating across the political divide, communicating among family, and communicating your anxieties when relationship stakes are high.
